My bears arrived this evening. I was so excited opening the box. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. They are beautiful! I cried as I held each one and remembered every piece of clothing they had come from. You did a magnificent job!
I have already given your name and web site to several friends. I can't wait till I can show them the bears. Thank you again for your hard work. I'm looking forward to the quilts. I know they will be just as beautiful!

Hi Ruth,

We just got the bears yesterday. (Turns out a UPS "train derailment" only means they missed the train). Anyway, they look great. I hope you took a picture of them. I will hate to separate them, but they will bring lots of smiles to the intended recipients! The kids love them, want to sleep with them, and take them to school on "Hugs" day!

I'm giving your information to my late husband's mother. She is visiting from Michigan and loves the bears. She leads a support group for parents that have lost adult children and will pass along the info to them. She also thinks the bears are a great idea to hold on to a piece of a loved one.

I received the Memory Teddy Bear late today. The bear is perfect and beautiful, and I couldn't wait until I gave it to the intended party. Cheryl, the intended party, was so elated that tears of joy poured forth. She loved her dad so much. It made me feel so good that I could give her such a precious gift. Hello Ruth!!

My name is Dan Lindley and I live in Indianapolis.

I know you make soooo many bears that you will likely not remember me, but that's OK.

I received my bear about a week ago. It's made from my brother's blue & white (horizontal stripes) long sleeve shirt and from the gray material of an Indianapolis Colts sweatshirt. Plus, we added an NC State patch.

Well, anyway, I JUST LOVE IT!!!! Oh my goodness. May our Father in heaven bless you and your work!!!!

I lost my brother to lung cancer. He had never smoked and never had a drink. And I can't blame it on second hand smoke because he was never around it.
David died 2 weeks shy of his 57th birthday. He will have been dead one year September 1st. David lived in NC and was a wonderful, caring, loving individual. I was so blessed to have him as my big brother for 56 years.

Ruth, I don't know you, but I love you!! I opened the box, pulled out the bear and wept for about 30 minutes. A range of emotions and memories came flooding back...good ones!

You did an WONDERFUL job!!

I cannot begin to adequately articulate how touched my family members were with their memory bears. I surprised them last week at a family gathering, and it was quite a meaningful and emotional event. They especially loved having the quote on the bear, so THANKS for the great idea and for doing that for us. You did a great job with the sweater as well as with the socks and shoes. :-)

I received my bear today and there are no words to describe how I feel and want
to thank you so much. I can see the love that you put into it and it is such a
comfort to be able to hold this bear and think about how much I love and miss my

Just wanted to let you know that I received the bears and they are fantastic. Thanks you so much! My family loved them and it brought tears all around. Ironically, the bears showed up a day before the anniversary of my grandmothers passing...truly perfect timing. We all met, I passed out the bears and we gave cheers to her with her favorite drink.
I will pass along your information to anyone who desires a special memory of a loved one. Also, my other grandmother lost her son, my uncle, a few years ago and I have suggested she get a bear made from some of his clothing also. I will let you know in the near future if it's going to happen. I really appreciate the care you took during the whole process and that you sent back the leftover material.

Ruth, I'm so ashamed that it's taken me this long to write and tell you how much I loved the bears you did for my nieces. Words cannot describe how wonderful they were! They looked just like my daddy if daddy had been a teddy bear! I was nervous about showing them to my mom because I thought she may get upset, but they had the opposite reaction. They make both of us smile constantly! It was so hard to part with them and send them to my nieces that I'm probably going to get you to make one for me sometime! I just received my order and I cannot tell you how happy I am. I cannot wait to give this to my aunt. I still have some clothes of my uncle's and I love the bear so much that I may just order one for myself. I lost my dad when I was 13 and that was 40 years ago this year, so my uncle was like a father to me. We just lost him in June of 2008. You are a wonderful person to take your time and make such beautiful items with the clothes of a loved one.

I just cannot show you how happy and excited I am over the bear. I am jumping up and down in my seat from excitement and joy.

I just wanted to let you know that I recieved my bear. I love it! It brought tears to my eyes when I opened the box. I ordered it as a gift for my Grandma, and I know she will love it too. My Grandpa meant so much to our family, and it is nice to have something to remember him by. My Grandma's Birthday is on the 31st. I will let you know what she thinks of it.

I was wondering if you also make quilts? I still have a bunch of his shirts, and was thinking of having one made. Please let me know when you have a chance.
